The Fraternal Myotis is a type of bat Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.
Appearance
Fraternal Myotis' old design has long straight hair that reaches at least below the shoulder blades with part of it cut to about shoulder-length and a fringe that reaches the eyebrows. As an extra, she has short bat wings attached to her hair, below her ears. Her top is composed of a greenish sweater with bell sleeves accompanied with extra semicircular red sleeves inside of it and a red sailor-style collar. She wears a short circular skirt with pressed-in ridges with extra semicircular red sleeve around the edges, full lenght black tights and traditional geta sandals as the same color. As the other Friends, She also has her ears and wings that belongs to her species.
Fraternal Myotis' redesign has a completely different outfit, it is more closer to the asiatic culture, which can be explained by the animal's distribution she's based on. She wears a Haori with different colors. The sleeves are red and green, the kimono is pink as the Obi and the straight-lined robes are pinkish and green. Her hair are smoother and darker, the front fringe is shorter, which uncover the eyebrows, she holds a yellow bow attached to her hair. She wears a fur ruff around her neck. As the other Friends, She still has her ears and wings that belongs to her species.

In Real Life
The fraternal myotis is a species of vesper bat. An adult fraternal myotis has a body length of about 5 cm, a tail of about 4.5 cm, and a wing span of about 3.8 cm. This species is widespread but has a fragmented distribution. There is relatively little information available on population trends and threats. In Japan this species is listed as Vulnerable and in Russia it is listed as a rare species. The Chinese population could be a distinct species, but more research is required to clarify this.
Trivia
- In Japan it is found in tree hollows during the day, but also some breeding colonies over 100 individuals have been found in houses. One small colony was also found in a cave. In Russia was found in caves (during winter) and rock cracks. The type series collected in China were taken from holes in bamboo stems.
