Kordofan Giraffe is a type of giraffe Friend revealed on the Kemono Friends Project Twitter as part of World Giraffe Day (21 June) in 2022.
Appearance
Kordofan Giraffe has short and trimmed hair at the ends, light brown from the top to the sides and forehead, and white from her temples down to the surrounding area. Only a small area above her forehead has a large black spot. The part of her ponytail at the back is dark brown. Her outfit is a mesh patterned underwear and tights, white vest with a green string tied around her waist, and brown miniskirt.

In Real Life
The Kordofan Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis antiquorum) is a subspecies of Northern Giraffe found in northern Cameroon, southern Chad, the Central African Republic, and possibly western Sudan. Kordofan Giraffe live in savannah, steppe, bushland biomes.
Trivia
- IUCN currently recognises only one species of giraffe with nine subspecies. However, a 2020 study showed that depending on the method adopted, different taxonomic hypotheses recognizing from two to six species can be considered for the genus Giraffe.
- Kordofan Giraffe is categorized as a subspecies of Northern giraffe under three or four species taxonomies and as a giraffe species under eight species taxonomy.
