Slow Loris |
The Slow Loris is a type of Friend that, despite being mentioned within Kemono Friends material, has never made an official appearance or been given an official design. The Slow Loris is mentioned in the mobile game by Nexon, in Brown Greater Galago's voiced lines and self-introduction. Despite never officially appearing in the game, evidence from said voice lines imply that Slow Loris would have been lazy or that she would have worked at a slow pace, in addition to being close friends with Brown Greater Galago, who tries to constantly support her.
Appearance
As Slow Loris has not yet made an official appearance, only mentioned in passing by Brown Greater Galago, her physical appearance is unknown.

In Real Life
Slow lorises are actually a group of several species of nocturnal strepsirrhine primates that make up the genus Nycticebus. They are found in Southeast Asia and bordering areas, including Bangladesh and Northern India, the Sulu Archipelago (in the Phillipines), and the Yunnan Province in China. Their closest relatives are the African lorisids, the pottos, false pottos, and angwantibos, however their evolutionary history is uncertain since their fossil record is patchy and molecular clock studies have given inconsistent results.
Little is known about their social structure, but they are known to communicate by scent marking. Males are highly territorial. Slow lorises reproduce slowly, and the infants are initially parked on branches or carried by either parent. They are omnivores, eating small animals, fruit, tree gum, and other vegetation.
Trivia
- Slow Lorises have a toxic bite, which is unusual for mammals and unique to the species.
- They are popular pets in the exotic pet trade, which has negative effects on the wild population.
- Despite their popularity, they are not good pets, as they are nocturnal, have special diets, and are very difficult to properly care for.
