De Brazza's Monkey is a type of monkey Friend that first appeared in Kemono Friends 3.
Appearance
De Brazza's Monkey sports long green-grey hair with flayed orange bangs, at the tips of which a lighter green-grey is visible, and a black strip across the top of her head featuring pointed tufts under which her green-grey-furred monkey ears are found. Her eyes are burnt orange in colour, and she has a long black monkey tail with green-grey fur at its base.
Her primary outfit is a green-grey tracksuit; the top has rolled-up sleeves, revealing tight black fingerless gloves which run at least up the length of her forearm, and is accented with a furry white necktie evoking the white facial fur of the De Brazza's monkey. The tracksuit pants feature a vertical white stripe running down the sides. On her feet she wears bluish-black sandals featuring heel supports and small orange decorations- possibly buttons- pairing these sandals with black socks.

De Brazza's monkey, also known regionally as a swamp monkey, is an Old World monkey native to sub-Saharan Africa. With males weighing in at around 7 kilograms, De Brazza's are the largest monkey species of the genus Cercopithecus, commonly known as the guenons. The primary fur color of these monkeys is a greenish-grey, which could also be referred to as agouti- the display of two or more bands of pigmentation on each hair- while the back is a rusty color, and the limbs and tail are black. These guenons are distinguished from other monkey species by their eye-catching orange crescents upon their foreheads, their characteristic white muzzles and beards, and the white stripes along their thighs.
De Brazza's monkey has a reputation for its cryptic nature, being very adept at hiding and tough to find if it does not wish to be found. This makes research difficult, as a lack of data makes it hard to estimate the population numbers and conservation needs of the species. Though De Brazza's monkey is listed as a Least Concern status species on the IUCN's Red List, they have a dedicated species survival plan courtesy of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums—something typically reserved for animals which are known to be threatened, but for which De Brazza's monkey has been given an exception. Due to its lacking ecological and conservation data, consequent of its elusive nature, there are concerns that quickly responding to unexpected or unforeseen threats to the species could be very difficult; thus, by having even a basic plan already in place, actions to save the De Brazza's monkey can be taken with greater haste should the need arise.

- Troops of De Brazza's monkeys are almost always observed near water; they do not seem to stray far from local tributaries.
- Although most guenons tolerate the company of other monkey species, De Brazza's monkeys are known to be openly hostile towards species which compete with them for resources.
