In Real Life
Megatherium is an extinct genus of ground sloths endemic to South America that lived from the Early Pliocene to the end of the Pleistocene period. They can reach 7 meters long in length, 3 tons in weight, and when stood they can reach 4 meters in height. Megatherium is an herbivore, they use their claws to shred plants and protection against predators.
