The Donkey is a type of Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.
Appearance
Donkey's hair has short bangs, but is larger near the sides of her head. Most of it is gray, albeit the tips of her hair have a white gradient. She also wears a ponytail and has characteristic donkey ears, both of which in a dark gray tone, with white ear fluffs.
Donkey's clothing covers most of her body; her upper body is covered by a long sleeved white shirt (with a gray gradient on the edge of the sleeves), a short gray dress on top of it, and a black bow tie. The lower part of her dress hides her hips as well as the starting point of her donkey tail.
Lastly, Donkey's legs are covered by gradient tights that are white near her hips and gray near her feet, which are equipped with black boots with black shoelaces.

In Real Life
Donkeys are widespread domesticated animals mostly used as beasts of burden in underdeveloped countries. They're also kept as pets and for breeding. While the population of Donkeys is increasing worldwide, its wild counterpart, the African Wild Ass, is critically endangered. They were domesticated in Egypt around 3000 BC.
Donkeys are herbivorous and easy to care for. They are often stabled together with horses and are said to have a calming effect on nervous horses and young foals. They may even be used to guard sheep like a shepherd dog! Their most prominent uses are to work in agriculture and transport. As such, they were used in world war 1 to carry wounded soldiers from the battlefield or carry equipment while also serving as a source of food in an emergency situation.
Trivia
- Donkeys can interbreed with other members of the family Equidae to give birth to a hybrid. For example, a female horse and a male donkey can breed to give a mule. In November 2018, a female zebra in a British farm gave birth to a zebra-donkey hybrid, a so-called zonkey named Zippy. It was second ever zonkey in the UK.
