The Maltese Tiger is a type of mammal Friend that debuted in the original Kemono Friends mobile game and later cameoed in the Kemono Friends anime.
Appearance
Both designs of the friend have a handsome schoolgirl appearance and hold a blue rose, acting as a contrast to the elegant schoolgirl look of the Golden Tiger. While both designs try to evoke the "handsome" look, outfit changes to the current design make this more evident.
The current design has grey hair with darker grey stripes and markings with white accents on the bangs and back hair. Her ears have dark grey and white spots with white insides and tuffs. Slight hints of blue can be seen on the adoge strand of hair sticking out and the tip of the front bang that comes down to the middle of her face. Her upperbody has an open blue schoolgirl top with white accents and a blue plaid pattern that matches her skirt. She wears a white dress shirt with a pocket and a dark grey/grey tie with stripes, like the ones on her tail and stockings. She wears those stockings with garter straps and white shoes with dark grey shoe laces.
The old design is similar but has notable contrasts in color saturation and the top design. Her top is buttoned up and has a yellow collar strap, making it far more similar to the top of Golden Tiger. Much like Golden Tiger's old design, Maltese Tiger's old design features far more saturated colors and focus on blues. There's less straight white in the design, opting for more light shades of blue.

In Real Life
The Maltese tiger, or blue tiger, is a reported but unproven coloration morph of a tiger, reported mostly in the Fujian Province of China. It is said to have bluish fur with dark grey stripes. Most of the Maltese tigers reported have been of the South Chinesesubspecies. The South Chinese tiger today is critically endangered, due to their illegal and continued use in traditional Chinese medicine and the "blue" alleles may be wholly extinct. Blue tigers have also been reported in Korea.
