Aardwolf is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion. This appearance is based on her Generation 2 (Nexon) incarnation, which was added to the game along with the other starting Generation 2 Friends in Version 1.4.0.

Although this animal is called a "wolf" due to its appearance, the hyena family is in fact thought to have evolved from viverrids rather than canines. It is the smallest member of the hyena family.
"M-My name's Aardwolf.... My homes are places I've borrowed from others who lived in them a long time ago, so I guess I'm the type of person who prefers to rent things. I'm a little anxious around strangers, I guess... Ah, I'm sorry, b-but I do want to make friends!" |
How to Encounter
The rateups added in Aardwolf's update were the Candy Cushion, Pom-pom Tree, Bop Keyboard and Potted Rose Plant. All of these are 3-stars and the latter three are craftable, making her very easy to encounter and tying her with Asian Small-Clawed Otter for the most common Gen-2 Friend.
Unique Behavior
- びっくりアードウルフ (Startled Aardwolf) - Cowers behind the Potted Rose Plant, peering in and out and occasionally turning her head. A bee then flies out of the plant, scaring her.
