Lion is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion. This appearance is based on her Generation 2 (Nexon) incarnation, which was added to the game along with the other starting Generation 2 Friends in Version 1.4.0.

ライオンというと眠っているイメージがありますが、夜行性であることに加え、昼間は無駄な力を消耗しないようにしているためです。まだ、天敵がいないので周りを警戒する必要がないため、寝ていられるのでしょう。 「やっぱりライオンって、しょうちゅう、寝てるイメージよね。うん、否定しないわ。 ’’百獣の王’’ なんて言われるから、ホントはお手本になるような振る舞いをしないとだけどね。ただ、強さの象徴とも見られてるから、衰えないよう、陰ながら努力してるのよ」

While lions have a sleepy image, in addition to being nocturnal, they actively try not to needlessly waste their energy in the daytime. In addition, they have no need to guard their surroundings due to having no natural predators, so it could be said that they are allowed to sleep. "Others sure do get the impression that being a lion means sleeping all the time. Yeah, I can't deny that. It's just that they call me the 'King of Beasts', so I've really got to act like a proper role model. Even then, they see me as a symbol of strength, too, so I'm not letting myself fall behind. I'm working hard in the shadows."

How to Encounter

The Gen-2 version of Lion is much harder to spawn than her counterpart. She has only two rateups, the Red Luxury Sofa and the Big Ring, neither of which are craftable; this makes her the second-rarest of the Gen-2 Friends, behind Tsuchinoko.
