オスは体長2m、体重が270kgを超えるものもいるという、アフリカの大型イノシシです。その名の通り、湿った森林地帯を好んで暮らしています。10頭以上の群れをつくる社会性が観察されていますが、イノシシの仲間は賢い行動をとることでも知られています。 「ジャイアント、なんて呼ばれることもあるんだけど、どこが大きいのかしら？あー、それより泥浴びしたいわね。ゴロゴローって。ヒトも泥パック？ってやるんでしょ。癒しは大事よね。コワモテとかいわれるけど、けっこうか弱いんだから……。イボイノシシのイボさんを誘ってみようっと」	{{{endescription}}}
