Hippopotamus, or just Hippo for short, is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion. This appearance is based on her Generation 2 (Nexon) incarnation, which was added to the game along with the other starting Generation 2 Friends in Version 1.4.0.

ユーモラスな仕草や外見からおっとりしたイメージをもたれますが、非常に糸張り意識が強く、ライオンやワニにも向かっていきます。持久力はありませんが、時速４０ｋｍ以上で走れます。半水生の哺乳類で、－日の大半を水の中で過ごします。 「カバよぉ。わたしが優しそう？ふふ、ありがとう。でも、案外おねーさんは”　どう猛”なのよ？いざとなったら、楽しみにしておいてねぇ～♪」	{{{endescription}}}

How to Encounter

The rateups added in Hippo's update were the Houseboat, Water Cottage and Rock Pond. Having only one printer rateup makes her somewhat rare in terms of items, but this is mitigated by the Rock Pond being craftable.
