イタチの仲間ですが、水で生きるために進化した種です。陸に上がることはほとんどなく、海岸近くの沿岸部で過ごしています。アザラシなどと比べ泳ぎが得意ではないため、泳いでいる魚を捕らえるのは苦手です。 「てやてやっ、石を使って貝を割るのですっ。気合入れまくりなんです。だって早く食べたいですから。う～、まだ開かないな、てやっ！……あ、中身まで割っちゃいました…。実は苦手なんですぅ～」	{{{endescription}}}
