Jaguar is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion. This appearance is based on her Generation 2 (Nexon) incarnation, which was added to the game along with the other starting Generation 2 Friends in Version 1.4.0.

ヒョウによく似ていますが、ジャガーのほうががっしりとした体格です。木登りだけでなく、ネコ科では珍しく泳ぎも得意です。名前はアメリカ先住民の民葉「ヤガー」からきていて ’’ー突きで殺す者’’ という意味からつけらたと言われています。 「わたしはジャガー。ー突きで決めるって？わたしはー撃で終わらせようなんて虫のいいことは考えない。何発でも打って、打って、勝つまで打ちまくる。姉であるブラックジャガーを超えるまで！」

While the jaguar closely resembles the leopard, it can be distinguished by its tougher build. Not only can it climb trees, it is also adept at swimming, a rarity for the cat family. It is said that its name comes from "yaguara", a word from an indigenous American language that means "one that kills with one shot". "I'm Jaguar. Decide it in one shot, you say? I wouldn't think about something as selfish as ending a fight after one attack. I'll keep on striking, striking, and striking 'til I win. 'Til I can beat my big sister, Black Jaguar!"

How to Encounter

The rateups added in Jaguar's update were the Houseboat and the Water Cottage. With neither of these being craftable, Jaguar is third-rarest of the Gen-2 Friends in terms of items, behind Lion and Tsuchinoko. Additionally, it is somewhat taxing to level up Jaguar with the Houseboat on its own, as it is a 1-slot item that thus requires replacing each time it spawns.
