密林に生息する、ネコ科の中でもNO.1の木登り上手です。前後の脚で枝がつかめるなど、「ツリーオセロット」とも呼ばれています。獲物をおびき寄せるために声真似をするともいわれています。容姿はオセロットに似ていますが、美しく大きい目が特徴です。 「なんで樹の上に引きこもってるかですって？バッカじゃない？樹の上のほうが落ち着くから好きなだけよ。ガールズラブ？確かに可愛い女の子は好きだけど、そういうのじゃないわ。ほんとよ！」

Living in dense forests, this animal is the No. 1 tree-climber in the cat family. With skills such as grasping branches with both its front and back legs, it is also called the "tree ocelot". It is also said to imitate the voices of other animals to attract prey. Its appearance resembles the ocelot, but its distinguishing feature is its large, beautiful eyes. "Why do I stay in the trees all the time like a shut-in? Are you stupid? I just like being in the trees because I can relax better. Girl's love? I definitely like cute girls, but it's not like that. Seriously!"

How to Encounter

Discovering Margay generally isn't a problem, as she has moderate spawn chances in all areas. To target her specifically, there are a fair variety of rateup items for Margay, most of which are in the Mountain or Waterfront. The Big Wooden Box has probably the best encounter rates out of the Printer items.

The Glass Table and Step are both craftable (if expensive) alternatives; it may be more efficient to craft the Step as it also has a rateup for the rare Bald Eagle.

Unique Behavior

• 応援する (Support) - Margay sits atop the Wooden Tower and waves a branch back and forth above her head à la lighters or cellphones at a concert.
