Flicky is a robotic companion that assists Calenda in her work for CARSC.

Appearance

Flicky is a robot with a hexagonal body and four legs. He is yellow in color and carries a bag with the CARSC logo on his body. To Friends who do not know Flicky, he is often described as a "headless horse".

Personality

He is an AI-powered robot, capable of independent behavior. Basically, he performs actions based on commands spoken by the user. However, this can backfire and cause him to go haywire with homophones. Moreover, perhaps because he was influenced by Sandstar, he began to act as if he had a will along the way. Kako believes that he may have inherited the will of Calenda's dog, which gave Flicky his name. After being influenced by Sandstar, he also began to show his behavior by protecting Calenda in a crisis and crossing a river that was forbidden by the command to protect Black-Headed Ibis.

Role in the Plot

Flicky was constructed with a hidden specimen box inside, which Calenda used to collect Cellium and Sandstar. He was sent running by a homophone of the emergency evasive command given by the Tasmanian Devil in the Keosho region. Calenda and Japari Dan were to move in pursuit of him. After Calenda safely retrieved Flicky, he accompanied Calenda on her journey. After Calenda realized her crime, he was almost collected by the "Boss" in the Hokkai Region, but after escaping on his own, he entered the Hōtoku Region through Calenda's input of the emergency evasion command. In the Hōtoku Region, he are protected by Black-Headed Ibis and work together, but are found by JSRT and the "boss". At that time, the AI is erased, but they did not follow the "boss"'s orders. He then rides in a helicopter with Calenda, but destroyed by a HunterCell attack when he tried to shield Calenda from HunterCell's attack. After the defeat of the strong individual HunterCell, Dhole and Flicky's body is thrown out of the helicopter and fell into the sea. At that time, the Cellium leaks out, creating the Flicky Cellien, but it is defeated by JSRT. His Sparkle and Sandstar will be passed on to Dhole.

Relationships

Calenda

Calenda is a user of Flicky. She gave them names and gave them orders. From the point at which he is said to have developed an ego under the influence of Sandstar, he became more and more protective of Calenda and tried to follow her orders to the letter.

"Boss"

The boss is the original owner of Flicky. However, he did not listen to orders until the end, due to the fact that he had spent a lot of time with Callender.

Mary

Marie is the successor to Flicky. They are very similar except for color and logo.

Dhole

Dhole is a Friends that resembles a dog originally owned by Calenda. As they fell from the helicopter, Flicky was destroyed and Dhole lost her Friends form, but Dhole reverted to Friends as they fused with each other.

Black-Headed Ibis

Kurotoki is a Friends whom he bonded with. Flicky does seem to enjoy listening to her song. He decided to protect Kurotoki after she was defeated by horde of Celliens.
