Scarlet Macaw is a Friend that appears in the app version of Kemono Friends 3.

Personality

Scarlet Macaw is a joyful Friend who loves to sing and dance whenever she can. She's always looking for Friends to invite to play with her, and she spends a lot of time bathing in the water and keeping her feathers groomed so they're bright and shiny. She loves to say, "Oi oi!" as an affirmation and greeting.

Role in the Plot

Blue-and-Yellow Macaw's Friend Story

Together with Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, the two bathe at a lake while remarking how beautiful their feathers are glistening in the sunlight. When a cellien interrupts them when they want to dance and sing, Scarlet Macaw tries to run away.

After the cellien is defeated by Blue-and-Yellow Macaw, the two are surprised by the appearance of Greater Bird-of-Paradise and Indian Elephant. She and the other two birds make a feather crown for Indian Elephant, and she comments on how beautiful it looks on her. When they dance some more, Indian Elephant realizes she wasn't practicing the dance she was supposed to be practicing, and explains that they were learning a new dance with Greater Flamingo. Scarlet Macaw mentions having been amazed by Flamingo's dance.

Blue-and-Yellow Macaw imitates Flamingo's dance for everyone, and then imitates the other Friends' dances, including Scarlet Macaw's which surprises her. She tells Blue-and-Yellow Macaw how accurately she copied her dance. After tiring from all the dancing that day, everyone is surprised how quickly night came. Everyone agrees to meet again for dancing another time before departing.

When Resplendent Quetzal and Indian Peafowl appear while she and Blue-and-Yellow Macaw are playing in the water the following day, she suggests everyone groom their feathers in the water together. After Indian Peafowl and Resplendent Quetzal show them their combs and hair oil, Scarlet Macaw suggests everyone play together. After Indian Peafowl says she doesn't want to dance, Blue-and-Yellow Macaw suggests the group to take a nap in the sun instead.

She spends a lot of her time bathing, singing, and dancing with Blue-and-Yellow Macaw as they are close friends. Blue-and-Yellow Macaw protects her from a cellien when they get ambushed.
