Beast Friends are a concept introduced in Kemono Friends 2 by Kaban. They are a result of a failed interaction between an animal and Sandstar, resulting in a much more animistic and vicious friend.
Appearance
Beast Friends are much more physical intimidating than a normal friend, roughly double the size of a normal-sized friend, with corrupted Sandstar-like particles covering their body. Additionally, they appear more primal in their behavior. As it stands, only Siberian Tiger is known to be a beast friend. They may also have chains or restraints as a result of attempted control.
Behavior
Owing to the more animalistic behavior, fire can easily distract and lead a beast similar to the large black Cellien from season one. Beasts appear to indiscriminately attack anything in view, as Siberian Tiger was shown to take out groups of Celliens made from Kyururu's drawing with ease before turning to chase the Friends that were present.
History
Beast Friends were considered dangerous by humans, and were restrained. It is currently unknown how long, where, or when they were imprisoned.
Trivia
- Only Siberian Tiger has shown to be a Beast Friend so far, and likely was around when humans still visited the park as she was controlled by humans.
- A concept art for Kemono Friends 2 by Mine Yoshizaki depicts Bengal Tiger as the Beast instead of Siberian Tiger, revealing that the Beast could originally have been Bengal Tiger but was later changed to be Siberian Tiger.
