Star Beasts
The Star Beasts are mascot costumes used to advertise around Japari Park before turning into a type of Friend over time.
Appearance
Only three colors of Star Beast are known at the moment. Red, Blue, and Green, commonly called as Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. All have black collars with a jar imprinted with a star colored by their corresponding color, which were the the main designs for later Lucky Beasts. The eyes are as well corresponding. No Star Beasts have mouths, referring on how the original mascot suits didn't have mouths either. Ruby Star Beast has a twinge of hair protruding out of her forehead, and a tail resembling to that of a Lucky Beast as well. Sapphire Star Beast has tufts of hair on her ears, resembling a Friend with the ability to fly, and twin tails. Emerald Star Beast has a ring of hair surrounding her head along with a stripe going up its eyes. She also has 3 tails: one that resembles like that of a tiger, one that "poofs" up like a cat or rabbit, and the other resembling that of a lizard or snake. Star Beasts are depicted with yellow stars swirling around them, referencing on how Sandstar is star-shaped, mimicking star sand.
History
The Star Beasts were considered as inspiration and predecessors to the Lucky Beasts, as heavy implied by their designs. Not much is known about the Star Beasts' usage between Generation 1 to Generation 2, and is essentially non-existent in Generation ?. The Lucky beast that narrates guidebook 4 states that, "After being lost after the Queen incident, they've been spotted here and there around the park. Perhaps, they've become Friends." Very little information is present about location, number, and usage before, and after, the defeat of the Cellien Queen.
Behavior
Next to nothing is known about the abilities, personalities, and relationships Star Beasts have. Only data known is in the Nexon game and is untranslated.
