Blackbuck is a Friend in both versions of Kemono Friends 3. She was released alongside the event "Dance with the Darkness! Jet-Black Darkness Hinamatsuri". She is the leader of the BATTEN Japari-Dan appearing in the main story, with Tasmanian Devil and Australian Devil as her subordinates.
Personality
Beware the apostle of twisted evil and fiery rebellion, the harbinger of chaos and sower of discord, the ruler of all the world's ebony darkness— lo and behold, and quiver in fear, for the rise of Blackbuck is nigh! Kukuku! This manner of introduction is precisely what one can expect from Blackbuck, leader of the trio calling themselves BATTEN Japari-Dan. She may seem quite fearsome at first, but it becomes quickly evident that her grandeur arises not from the threat she poses, but from her 'chuunibyou' personality; in short, she has a chronic flair for the dramatic and a love for dark and unusual aesthetics. The truth is that she is simply playing; Blackbuck is an extremely caring Friend, and while her antics can accidentally cross some lines here and there, the last thing she would ever want is to see anyone get hurt.
Her eccentricity also belies a deeply remarkable intellect and a hunger for knowledge, shown in full when she quickly learns to comprehend and fluently speak English just by listening in on Calenda's conversations with her boss, in addition to swiftly taking up any opportunities to further expand her understanding of the language.

Relationships
"Boss"
Australian Devil and Tasmanian Devil
Australian Devil and Tasmanian Devil are Blackbuck's BATTEN Japari-Dan teammates, with Blackbuck acting as the team's leader. The three are very close, travelling most everywhere together and getting up to various antics and adventures across Japari Park.
Bald Eagle
Bald Eagle is Blackbuck's best friend and mock-rival. The two Friends instantly clicked with one another the very moment they met, and each becomes excited by simply seeing the other. They greatly enjoy playing games of "justice vs. darkness" together, both in the form of occasional "battles" and as an ongoing "struggle" between their ideologies.
Calenda
Blackbuck, along with her Japari-Dan cohorts, are good friends with Calenda. The four once travelled together in the Kyōshū Region, being perhaps the very first Friends the human met upon arriving in Japari Park and helping her track down her escaped robot companion Flicky.
Crested Ibis
Blackbuck is a fan of Crested Ibis' singing. While many Friends find the bird's song painful to listen to, Blackbuck and her Japari-Dan companions think it's extremely cool.
Striated Caracara
Blackbuck is afraid of Striated Caracara after seeing how mad she gets by being called a "demon".
Yatagarasu
Blackbuck is jealous of Yatagarasu's cool colors, appearance, her elegant voice tone and the fact she is the personification of the Sun.
Tsukuyomi-No-Shinshi
Stats
Kemono Friends 3
Strategy
Blackbuck has an enviable all-around stat-line, boasting one of the highest max Status ratings in the game. While her expensive AoE miracle prevents her from contributing significantly or frequently to Miracle bursts, she can serve effectively as an offensive "captain" if bursts are either unneeded or already accounted for.
Ideally, Blackbuck should be attacking as often as possible to maximize the the mileage you get from her offensive and defensive stats, and to build up MP for her Miracle. Try to avoid attacking with her more than once in a single turn unless she is the strongest member of your team and/or a particular enemy has to go down; this is because you risk negating her Standby skill's guaranteed activation if/when you do give her downtime, and consequently making your sustained DPS and MP setup less than optimal.
Even though her Miracle is certainly capable of wiping out entire waves, its high cost means that it should be saved for particularly problematic moments that jeopardize your chances at victory or extra objectives. Nullifying a boss's attack boost or getting rid of a wave of Khopesh Cells in Chapter 6 has a much bigger impact on your team's safety than quickly disposing of trash mobs. That being said, its Beat Miracle+ flag means you can and should use it to contribute to Miracle rushes against bosses.

Trivia
- A little over halfway through the game's main story, it is revealed that Blackbuck has learned and is able to speak full-fledged English due to spending time traveling with Calenda and "Boss". This makes her one of the few known characters in the Kemono Friends franchise with the capability to speak more than one language, the other being the previously mentioned Calenda.
