Patrol Plane
“This is the Patrol Plane, a detection device designed by Kingdom to control "[Celliens]", mainly used for Kingdom's daily investigation and patrol work. By riding the Patrol Plane, we can travel back and forth and even fight [Celliens] more easily.”
—Jinri's Lucky Beast, "Way of Water"
A Patrol Plane is a type of vehicle used in Kingdom, the setting of the Kemono Friends Kingdom mobile game.
Overview
A Patrol Plane is a personal air vehicle strongly resembling an oversized paper airplane. Though typically seen to only carry one passenger of a typical Friend's size at a time, Patrol Planes seem capable of supporting a secondary passenger of a smaller stature, such as a child or a Lucky Beast. Patrol Planes come in various colors, most typically orange, and may be adorned with diagonal stripes or the stylized の (pronounced "no") character prevalent throughout the Kemono Friends franchise. Many Patrol Planes have numbers of unknown importance or purpose inscribed on them.
Patrol Planes were historically used for survey work and transportation around Kingdom, and for anti-Cellien combat measures. Only humans and Lucky Beasts are known to be able to activate and fully utilize Patrol Planes; in the absence of humankind, Lucky Beasts evidently would not enable the devices for the use of Friends, and thus all Patrol Planes were left abandoned and entered states of hibernation. The arrival of Jinri to Kingdom would mark the reactivation of some Patrol Planes, though they are only seen being used for combat purposes during this time.
