Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is a highly dedicated Friend, both to her training and to her companions. She is constantly studying new combat techniques and is ever-vigilant, always ready to lend a hand wherever she is needed.

Seeking to someday surpass her master, Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is constantly travelling across Kingdom to test herself against Friends proficient in various combat techniques. Along her way, she happily helps Friends with delivering packages to other parts of Kingdom, carrying their parcels and dropping them off along the way to her next destination.

Strategy

• Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is a common and effective unit on Leaf-centric Power-Up teams.
  • Her Miracle immediately grants a large number of Leaves, which any Leaf team can appreciate. This ability to immediately grant a handful of Leaves gives her synergy with another common sight on Leaf teams, Caracal, as her Miracle grants the team's Power-Up Friend a number of Leaves based on how many that Friend already has.
  • Both of her Habits are useful, depending on the type of Power-Up Friend the team is using; one boosts PATK and the other boosts SATK.
  • Her Miracle and Breakthroughs give buffs to the RES of a Friend who is Powering Up, which helps them weather damage until they can unleash their attack.
  • There isn't generally an Album she would prefer to run over Shining Assist or Trials of the Forest, being able to run either rather efficiently depending on what her team most needs.
    • If one uses her Miracle early in a fight, Trials of the Forest is more strongly recommended. If using her Miracle near the end of a fight, especially within the last three turns, Shining Assist should generally reap greater benefits.
  • Although her 4-Star rarity means her base stats are relatively low, it also makes her easier to enhance than higher-rarity Friends, making her especially viable as a budget option for Power-Up teams.

• As she is a 4-Star Friend, Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey's defenses may need more assistance than those of many other commonly-used Friends.
  • Equipping an Album Set utilizing Pachyderm, Scaly, Slimy, or Hibernation Attributes is strongly recommended, as Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey's damage is generally negligible even with the offensive boosts of Attributes such as King or Spiky.
  • Her relative frailty means she pairs well with Red-Eared Slider's passive defensive buff to the Friends placed behind her shield.
  • Sending her into battle later into a fight can prevent her from racking up damage, status effects, and defense drops. However, this will lower the effectiveness of the Trials of the Forest Album, if she has it equipped.

Trivia

• Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is one of the only Friends who isn't afraid to spar one-on-one with King Cobra, whose notorious venom scares even brave Friends away from the idea of a friendly match.
