Party (Kingdom)
The Party system is a method of obtaining Friends in the Kemono Friends Kingdom mobile game. The player uses an item called a Letter for a Friend to summon a single Friend from a particular summoning pool over the course of several hours, though the process can be instantly completed using a secondary item called an Instant Reply. Some Friends can only be obtained through the Party system; they do not appear in the Friend Encounter gacha.
Overview
The Party area is an isolated grove under the shade of a large tree, under which lie a ragged love seat whose cushion has been covered in hay, an old television set powered by a small generator, an old gramophone in surprisingly good condition, and a low coffee table with a dining menu and a cup of green tea, all arranged in a circle where Friends can invite old pals and new friends alike to come together and play, relax, eat, laugh and be merry together.
The Party system allows players to prepare a welcoming ceremony for a mystery Friend to whom a party invitation has been delivered, effectively allowing the player to make additional Friend Encounters without using Encounter Tickets or Stargems, instead having the player expend time and in-game items. Consequently, the system also has much lower odds to acquire high-rarity Friends than the dedicated Friend Encounter system does; typically, 3-Star and 4-Star Friends will appear, which makes the Party system a good way for new players to enhance their early-game Friends and for players of any level to collect Radiant and Memory Crystals for redemption in the Store. Each one of the previously-mentioned four spots making up the circle correlates to a possible Friend Encounter, allowing for up to four Friend Encounters to be generated at one time; the player does not begin the game with access to all four zones and must unlock them via game progression. When using the Party system to summon a Friend, a player must make three selections.
The first is the choosing of an Accompanied Friend, who will wait for the invited Friend at the Party site chosen; the Accompanied Friend is chosen from three of the player's own unlocked Friends, presented at random. As the role is purely cosmetic, the Accompanied Friend can still be used elsewhere in the game, such as in the Main Story and in Raids, while fulfilling the role of Accompanied Friend.
Secondly, the player selects a Welcome Gift, which determines the type of Friend likeliest to appear; this is not a game-play item the player must have in their Storage, but rather a thematic means of selecting a desired Friend rate increase. Some Friends in the pools of certain Welcome Gifts only show as obtainable when a specific type of Welcome Ceremony appears by random chance.
Finally, the player chooses a Welcome Ceremony, which determines how long the invited Friend will take to arrive as well as the likelihood of that Friend having a higher rarity. Once these selections are made, the player must consume one Letter for a Friend item to begin the countdown, and can either wait for the Friend to arrive- a process taking anywhere from one to nine hours, depending on the chosen Welcome Ceremony- or complete it instantly by consuming an Instant Reply item.
Welcome Gifts
There is an assortment of available Welcome Gifts, which each increase the summoning chance of a particular set of Friends; each type of Welcome Gift can summon any of the Friends available in the Party summoning pool, but specific Friends have a higher rate of appearing when specific Welcome Gifts are selected. Some Welcome Gifts have identical pools of rate-up Friends, making the differences between those Gifts purely cosmetic.
Welcome Ceremony
There are six types of Welcome Ceremony which can appear in a player's Party menu, each type influencing the odds of summoning rare Friends. The Welcome Ceremony menu will only ever display four out of the six possible Ceremonies at any one time; there are three types of Ceremony which will always be present, and three types which are mutually exclusive, with only one of the three appearing at a given time. These three correlate to the greatest odds for high-rarity Friends; the two rarest-seen Welcome Ceremonies each guarantee a Friend of a particular rarity appears, the rarest of which guarantees a 6-Star Friend who is only available in a given Welcome Gift's pool when this Welcome Ceremony appears.

Letter for a Friend and Instant Reply Items
Use of the Party system requires the player to consume one Letter for a Friend per encounter. These items are primarily acquired by completing event missions or Daily and Weekly Quests, or through the trading of Radiant Crystals or Friendship in the Store's Redeem section. The player also has the option to expedite the summoning process by consuming an Instant Reply item, which can most typically be obtained by exchanging Memory Crystals or Friendship in the Redeem store or through completion of event missions and Daily Quests.
Wait Logs
When an Accompanied Friend is waiting for a new Friend to arrive, she will keep a Wait Log detailing what she is doing to pass the time, what she sees or hears, and her reaction to the Friend's arrival. The log will update frequently, and can keep up to 50 entries at one time; if a new entry appear after this limit is reached, the oldest log entry will be pushed out to make room for the newest.
