Category:Real Animal Friends: Difference between revisions

A list of all Friends based off of real-world organisms belonging to the kingdom Animalia, which are collectively referred to as animals. Animalia is divided into five major clades:

• Cnidaria, which is comprised of complex marine invertebrates such as corals, jellyfish, and sea anemones.
• Ctenophora, the comb jellies.
• Placozoa, which is composed of various simple, non-parasitic marine invertebrates.
• Porifera, the sea sponges.
• Bilateria, which is composed of animals distinguished by the presence of bilateral symmetry during development. This includes mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, and insects; accordingly, the vast majority of animals fall into this clade, and as of January 2026 all real-world animal Friends represent the clade Bilateria.

This list omits Friends who are based on fictional or legendary figures, even if those figures are themselves based on real-world animals. Some Friends who are based on specific individual animals that likely or are known to have existed, and which have become legendary in status over time, may be included.
