Hippopotamus first appears in Episode 1 - Savanna Area, when Serval and Kaban head towards a pond in order to drink water.

Personality
Hippopotamus has an 'older sister' personality. While she demonstrates worry, she is also protective, defending Kaban from the Cerulean's attack. She can also be teasing, when she jokes about Serval.
Role in the Plot
Episode 1 - Savanna Area
Hippopotamus first appears when Serval and Kaban head towards water hole. She rises up from the bottom of the pond, surprising Kaban. She asks where they are going and who Kaban is. After Serval responds, she advises the two about the Ceruleans and tries to identify what animal Kaban is, but is unable to. She returns during the Cerulean fight at the end of the episode, jumping to Kaban's defense, and prevents one of the Cerulean's jaws from clamping down.
Episode 12 - Amusement Park
Hippopotamus helps the other Friends in the fight against the Black Cerulean. She is present at the party in the Amusement Park.
Relationships
Serval
Hippopotamus seems to know Serval well, since they live in the same area.
Trivia
- Hippo shares the same Japanese voice actor as Aardwolf, both being voiced by the same person. While in the English dub, however, they are voiced by different people.
- Prior to her role as Hippo, Haruka Terui also voiced the character Margay in the original Nexon Game. She also voiced many other characters from the Nexon game including Crested Ibis, Moose, Aardwolf, Nine-Tailed Fox, Indian Elephant, and Northern Sea Otter.
