She is not smug unlike her other incarnations.
Role in the Plot
Episode 3 - Mountain
Scarlet Ibis happens to see the "sign" for the Japari Café when flying through the Mountain Area, and flies down to investigate. Her thoughts on the café itself are as of yet unknown, but it appears that she became acquainted with Crested Ibis shortly thereafter.
Episode 12 - Amusement Park
Scarlet Ibis appears alongside a singing Crested Ibis on stage, accompanied by PPP.

The two ibises appear together on stage during Episode 12, after their initial meeting in Episode 3.
Trivia
- Scarlet Ibis is the only Friends in the anime who's uses her older design instead her new design which already created at that time.
