Raccoon is a Friend in Kemono Friends 3 that appears in both versions of the game. She is also the main protagonist of Captain Arai-San's Diary story.

Role in the Plot

Prologue

She alongside Mirai, Serval, and Arai are fighting against Celliens at Jungle area in An'in Region. While they are talking about new personel, suddenly they got ambushed by big Cellien which injures Serval and steal her sparkle as well in process and the four of them retreated back to Expedition base.

She alongside Fennec participated the spring tournament, together they fight against Seiryu's avatar however they didn't make it to the preliminary.

Strategy

Raccoon is a tank that focuses simply on reducing all incoming damage at all times, rather than threshold-based mitigation or self-sustain. As a result, she is very easy to use and the player will get at least some degree of mileage out of her in situations where a tank is required. That being said, she is perhaps most suitable at tanking PvP trash mobs; with Going To The Ocean and other survivability photos equipped, she can easily manage the ongoing sustained damage while your team attacks or builds up Miracles.

Due to its one-time nature, her standby is best used immediately before telegraphed, highly-damaging single target attacks, such as Tail Cell or Tadpole Cell supers. However, in PvP, it should be used on turn 1 so that your team uses the time bought to immediately gain a health lead on the opposition.

Her most valuable asset, however, is her very rare 3/1/1 flag configuration. This makes her the perfect tank for AoE Friends such as Brown Bear, as they will have the Beats they need to inflict maximum damage on the opposition. It also makes her a generally good tank choice when you want to have as few Try flags as possible in your deck.

Unlocking her Rainbow Trait is top priority as it let her to survive fatal hit which makes her even better tanker.

This isn't the first time Raccoon has been voiced by Saki Ono, before KF3 she had also voiced Raccoon in the 2017 Anime.
