The Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is a primate with a large fur and a snub nose blue, their genus is called Rhinopithecus and their familly Cercopithecidae. They are herbivore, they usually eat lichens, young leaves, fruits or seeds, buds, mature leaves, herbs, bark, and flowers, this diet varies from season to season.
The golden snub-nosed monkey is an endangered Old World monkey of the genus ''Rhinopithecus,'' known as the snub-nosed monkeys on account of their uniquely-structured noses; they are very flat against the face, and the nostrils face forth. All members of ''Rhinopithecus,'', including the golden snub-nosed monkey, inhabit China and/or Southeast Asia; the golden snub-nosed monkey in particular is found in mountainous temperate-forest regions of Central China and Southwest China. Aside from their signature noses, these monkeys are distinguished by their long, golden-orange coats, present as guard hairs down the animal's back. Adult males average around 63 cm in body length and 16.4 kg in weight; adult females are smaller, averaging around 50 cm and about 9.4 kg in weight. They are primarily arboreal, rarely venturing to the forest floor given the presence of dangerous predators such as dhole, snakes, and wolves. Even in the trees, they are threatened by arboreal or mixed-domain predators such as golden eagles, northern goshawks, leopards, and Asiatic golden cats.
The Golden Snub-Nosed monkey is the princpal species, there's three sub-species known as The Black Snub-nosed monkey, The Grey Snub-Nosed Monkey and The Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey.


The Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey can be found in groups of five to ten monkey. The Social organization of this species is quite difficult. The Male is generally alone surrounded by females, he may stay away from the groups. The Females prefer to stay with the other females and try to socialize. Conflict can be provoked with an another groups.
They are herbivorous, dining on bark, flowers, fruits, herbs, leaves, lichens, plant buds and seeds; this diet varies from season to season, in accordance with the fluctuating availability of food items. Lichens, which tend to be available year-round, form the bulk of the golden snub-nosed monkey's typical dietary menu, followed by young leaves, though they will readily eat less lichen and more fruit during the growing season; the high energy provided by fruit and seeds is an unmissable opportunity.
 
The golden snub-nosed monkey can be found in groups of five to ten individuals, typically consisting of one breeding male, a group of breeding females, and the offspring of the aforementioned; there are also groups consisting entirely of bachelor males, who band together to increase their odds and are typically led by the oldest male present. Numerous groups may forage, rest, and travel together, as per the concept of safety in numbers, but will rarely interact directly; these bands can accumulate upwards of 600 individuals.
