Japari Coin
Japari Coins (Japanese:ジャパリコイン) are a recurring currency in Japari Park and seen in multiple games and other media. There is also a gold-colored coin called Japari Gold (Japasene:ジャパリゴールド), which, like the regular coins, first appeared in the first Kemono Friends mobile game by Nexon.
Coin Design
Japari Coin
The design of the Japari Coin is entirely black with silver edges. In the center is the letter "の", the logo of Japari Park. The words "JAPARI PARK" are inscribed around the central mark, with the first "J" of JAPARI highlighted in orange and the first "P" of PARK in light blue.
Japari Gold
Japari Golds are metallic gold-colored coins with green centers. They depict a four-toed paw print on one side and the Japari Park logo on the other, both also in gold. In some media, such as in the first season of the anime, the green center is inset while in others, such as in Kemono Friends 3, it is level with the outer gold border.
They are often shown to be about the size of a Japanese 500-yen coin with the knuckle only covering approximately a quarter of the face of the coin. Thickness varies by individual depiction.
Appearances
In Nexon Game
Two types of coins appeared: Japari Coin and Japari Gold. Both appeared in the role of currency.
In The Anime
A Japari Coin makes a brief appearance in the 4th Episode and the short "Fukkura" of the first season.
4th episode
In the 4th episode, Tsuchinoko finds a Japari Gold on the ground in one of the park's attractions. Excited by this discovery, she speculates that it was once used as currency in Japari Park.
Since she presented this Japari Gold as Japari Coin, Japari Gold is widely known as Japari Coin to the real-life audience. Presumably, however, this confusion was caused by humans leaving Japari Park.
As a result of this appearance, Tsuchinoko is often depicted with a Japari Coin in future works including media that takes before the events of the anime chronologically or feature different incarnations of the character.
Fukkura
In the short "Fukkura," Silver Fox puts the Japari Gold coin into the slot to activate the inn's TV.
In Pavilion
A currency called "Pavilicoins" was introduced, imitating the Japari Gold, and the mark in the center of the Japari Gold was changed to the letter "P".
In Festival
Japari Coin appeared as a currency in this game.
In Kemono Friends 3
Japari Golds are used as a currency to invoke the upgrade process for Friends and to break down spare Photos. Gold is obtained by completing quests and missions as well as as a log-in bonus. In addition, excess materials can be sold back in exchange for more gold. A single Japari Coin appears during Tsuchinoko's miracle.
Japari Coin did not appear at first, but it made its first appearance at the event "Japari Park Off-limit Area.Blockade Lifted".
