Personality
Black-tailed prairie dog is hyperactive friend who is always determined to do something such as dig holes or help the others. She's simple minded and doesn't try to think before to act, however she can learn quickly and efficiently.
Role in the Plot
Episode 4
Black-tailed prairie dog appeared for the first time when Kaban and the other find her stuck in a hole, then they try to help her. At first, she thought that Kaban and the others tries to bury her, but she realize she buried herself and present her thanks for helping her. She greets the others by kissing them, saying that it's the way prairies dogs presents their recognition. she want to build a house in the forest near the Lake Shore because of the beautiful landscape, but her holes keep collapse. Right after,she decide to help the others by finding and cutting trees, however she does it naively. Nevertheless, American Beaver teach her how to correctly cut a tree with her teeth making the work faster and easier for her and even manage to cut a hundred trees. Later in the show, she go back to the Lake shore and try to establish her future habitation. Unfortunately she failed multiple time and doesn't take her time to anticipate. Afterwards, she take a free time to talk with the others sharing her problems with American beaver, but at the same moment Kaban come across the idea that they should assign their talent to construct the house. In time, Black-tailed prairie dog and American beaver start to know much each other and create a strong bond of friendship. Later, after a complicated and organized work, the house that American beaver wanted to build is finished, Black-tailed prairie dog and the others take their time to visited it and having fun together. At the end, she say goodbye to Kaban and Serval before they continue their adventure and even builds a bed made of wood for them.

Black-tailed prairie dog encounter Fennec and Common raccon in the house she build with American beaver.
Episode 12
Black-tailed prairie dog help appears in the fight against the big cerulean, digging out the ground beneath one of it's legs with the assistance of Fennec and Sand cat along with the instructions from American Beaver. At the end, she participate at the party to celebrate the victory among the other friends, and show the upgrade she made with the others for the Japari bus.

American beaver and Black-tailed prairie dog meets each other in the Episode 5, they are now close friend that work together. They complement each other because American beaver have the knowledged and the experience, however she can't build anything without the help of Black-tailed prairie.
