General
Most materials for Kemono Friends are originally written in Japanese. When translating from Japanese to English, Japari Library strives to have the original Japanese text present in some form. There are multiple reasons why this is the case:
- The high density of untranslated Kemono Friends media means that having the Japanese text present is a reliable source of canon.
- Keeping the Japanese text makes it easier to verify the accuracy of the translation.
- Keeping Japanese text makes it easier for prospective translators to find the original text in need of translation.
- Some readers of Japari Library are Japanese fans that use it as a resource, and including the Japanese text makes Japari Library a better resource for them.
Japari Library uses revised Hepburn for romanization of Japanese and Hanyu Pinyin for romanization of Chinese dialects. For Japanese, macrons are used when romanizing rather than long-vowel forms, i.e. ō rather than ou or oo.
