Binturong is a type of Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.
Appearance
Binturong has amber eyes, long gray hair with black hair protruding from behind her animal ears, a black spot in the middlemost bang and two bangs that fades to black towards the bottom, tied with a white string at the side of her face. She has two small round animal ears and a long curled black tail, befitting her species.She wears a black shirt with a gray bow tie and a black v-neck sweater with fur on its cuffs and bottom. Binturong has a short circular gray skirt, a pair of black gloves, black leggings that fades to gray towards the bottom, gray socks and black shoes.

In Real Life
Binturongs are a species that can be found across Southeast Asia. They are the largest species in the Viverridae family, with their body length being between 61 to 96 cm, with a tail length of 56 to 89 cm and a weight of 9 to 20 kg. Their thick and muscular prehensile tail and strong grip in their claws gives them extra mobility when climbing through the treetops. Binturongs have mostly black fur with gray tips, long white whiskers and small round ears that have long ear tufts protruding from them.
A Binturong is primarily arboreal, living in the canopies of tall, dense, tropical forests. This animal is solitary, spending most of its time climbing trees, but also presents a high level of ground activity due to its large size in comparison to most arboreal animal species, being unable to leap from tree to tree. A particular gland in each side of its anus allows the Binturong to mark trees as it climbs to let other members of their species know where it has been, this scent being described as that of buttered popcorn.
Despise being in the order Carnivora, the binturong's diet consists mainly of fruits, such as those of the strangles fig tree, which seeds are known to be dispersed mainly by this mammal, giving the binturong a crucial role for the persistence of these forest ecosystems. They also feed on small preys such as insects, birds, fish and rodents.

- Binturongs are one of the only two animals in the order Carnivora with fully-prehensile tails, the other one being the kinkajou.
