A list of Friends based on carrion-scavenging birds of prey of the order Accipitriformes, which are known collectively as vultures. There are two known archetypes of vultures: the Old World vultures and the New World vultures, which are not closely related to each other; their similarities are born of convergent evolution, so as to fill comparable ecological niches.
- The Old World vultures come from two subfamilies—Aegypiinae and Gypaetinae—within the family Accipitridae.
- The New World vultures are represented by five genii which form the family Cathartidae. The massive birds of prey known as condors are also included in this grouping, represented by two genii.
The list below also includes the collab Friend called Beast King Vulture, who as per her name is based on an indeterminate species of Old World vulture.
