Despite the name suggesting otherwise, the [[Pademelon]] is a small marsupial in the kangaroo family native to thick forests in Australia and New Guinea. They're smaller than wallabies at around 50 centimeters long and up to 12 kilograms heavy. They have pointy noses and round ears. They have soft brown fur that's creamy around the belly. As opposed to other kangaroo species, they do not use their tail as a "third leg" because it's too short.

The Common Degu is a small rodent native to the Andes Mountains in South America, mostly Chile. They are typically around 30 centimeters long with a black-tipped tail and soft, yellow-ish brown fur. They are diurnal animals, active in the morning and evening, and eat a herbivorous diet consisting of seeds, bark, fruit, and leaves.

Kemono Friends' Pademelon has only appeared in the Nexon Game. She is a maid and takes her maid duties very seriously. She does not like dirty places and is a good cook.

Kemono Friends' Common Degu was introduced in a collaboration with Nagasaki Biopark. Her first official artwork also featured Fennec, as her then-voice actress Kana Motomiya had one as a pet called Kisuke. She later appeared in Pavilion, where players with the [[Tin Robot]] can watch her wind it up and have it walk around. She also appears in the Kemono Friends 3 mobile game during the Chinese New Years event, where she is a four-star Relaxed friend; here, she is friends with and commonly appears in scenes with [[Long-Tailed Chinchilla]], a nod to the year 2020 being the year of the Rat in the Chinese zodiac (while they are not rats ''per se,'' they are both rodents).
