|reallife=Hilgendorf's Tube-Nosed Bats can be found in Kazazhstan, Mongolia, northeast China, easternmost Russia, Korea and Japan. It is a widespread, but naturally rare species that inhabits hilly and mountainous areas, taking refuge in forests, caves and sometimes buildings. They gain their name due to the small protruding nostrils in their head. They are about 5.5 cm in body length, and they have grayish fur with silver-colored long over hairs.
