Tachikoma Type-S is a collab Friend that appeared in a collaboration event in Kemono Friends 3 and is based on the AI walker robots of the same name in Ghost in the Shell.

WIP: The Tachikoma Type-S in Kemono Friends 3 is based on one of the three redesigned Tachikomas in the Netflix Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045 original show. Another one being Tachikoma Type-H. Those are presumably the three that sacrificed themselves in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episode 25 to save Batou. They have become smaller and sleeker and are able to mount additional equipment or weapons, countermeasures and armor. The pilot capsule is much smaller and looks slanted. It features a retractable large wheel which can be deployed for highspeed travel. They also have a higher jumping capability. It opens up in multiple sections reminiscing a flower's petals. The cockpit's inside features a full 360 degree glass cockpit which projects a complete view of the surrounding. The leg wheels now divide into a finger like form for walking.
