“(If I'm dangling on branches...) Fufufu, you don't know where I am right? I have confidence that no one can find me during hide-and-seek... ... No one find me. So lonely. Are they forget about me? Oi, I'm the devil. I'm going to prank you real bad from behind!”
Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko's introduction

Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko is a type of Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.

Appearance

The new designed Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko has red eyes with short light ash blonde hair. Her thin animal tail resembles a leaf, and has the same coloring as her hoodie. She wears an open light brown sleeveless hoodie that has a snake-like pattern all around. The top of the hood has two red circles that resemble the large eyes of a lizard, with two little bumps on top of them. Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko wears a tucked in white sleeveless shirt with a black tie, and a cape that is black on the back and purple on the inside, with two loose strings on the front. She wears umber gloves, a short pink circular skirt, light umber leggings that follow the same pattern as her hoodie, and umber riding boots.

Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko are endemic to Madagascar, known from multiple localities in the central-east part of the island. They are small sized lizards of around 15 cm in length, better known for their unique exterior look, leaf-tailed geckos have bodies that allows them to camouflage perfectly in the canopy. They are seen in a variety of colors including red, tan and brown, with males having notches in their tails while females usually having a perfectly outlined tail that resembles a ficus leaf. They are called "Satanic" due to the small hornlike bumps over their eyes.

This species is forest-depended, living in humid forests where they spend most of their time on tree branches. Satanic Leaf-Tailed Geckos are nocturnal, and they feed on various invertebrates, making use of their camouflage to ambush their prey.

Trivia

  • Satanic Leaf-Tailed Geckos are occasionally incorrectly referred to as "Baweng Satanic Leaf Geckos", due to Wikipedia vandalism that went unnoticed for a long period of time. The actual animal only occurs in Madagascar, and has no relation whatsoever to Baweng.
