Black-Backed Jackal appeared as a minor character during the original Kemono Friends mobile game. She is also a member of the Wolf Federation.

Self-Introduction
Just by hearing the name of Black-Backed Jackal, everyone avoid me. It seems that I have a bad kid image but I don't have any intention like that. Me is me, even if no one praise me, I will protect everyone in the park... ... Don't tell to everyone okay? Because by being alone I could move freely.
Role in the Plot
Chase the Sweets Thief Character Quest
Before the quest start Black-Backed Jackal wrote on her diary that when festival time comes park becomes busy and at a time like this she must go patrol and ensure their success. At An'in region Black-Backed Jackal learns that Common Vampire Bat's bazooka and Barn Owl's mask have gone missing. She tells herself that it is indeed a good decision to go on patrol. In Sankai region she encounters Geoffroy's Cat, Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko, and Blackbuck. Here she learns that Geoff lost her sweets and while Blackbuck doesn't say anything it is pretty clear that she lost something too. Before She moves to other area, Black-Backed Jackal comments that she got her eyes fixated on Blackbuck and Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko play.
Coming back at An'in region she learns another thing that missing which is Marvelous Spatuletail pumpkin and thought to herself that she has a good idea who's stolen them. After sometimes she was spotted by Mirai in which she responds not to call her suddenly and when being asked what she's looking for she tells Mirai that it's not her business. But before she can go away from there Marvelous Spatuletail and Honduran White Bat come running towards Mirai and report that their pumpkin is gone. Mirai who realizes that Black-Backed Jackal know something demands her to tell everything she knows. Black-Backed Jackal agree to this with promise that they will not acting rush but before she can tell anything, Mirai sees Cellien with candy on them and they proceed to defeat it. In the middle of the battle everyone who lose their belonging come and Black-Backed Jackal explains to Mirai each thing that gone.
When Mirai asks how they will track each of the item, Black-Backed Jackal assures Mirai not to be worry because Numbat will help to track them. After some time Black-Backed Jackal realizes that the things that gone has something to do with Halloween and not randomly disappear.
In the An'in region Black-Backed Jackal meets with Super Lyrebird who asks her to dance. At first Black-Backed Jackal refuses but when being teased she can't dance, she finally did it. Although Super Lyrebird sees that as martial art rather than dancing. Black-Backed Jackal then looks at Blackbuck and notices that she's trembling and Blackbuck response is she restrains the dark power from overflowing. It is revealed later in Nakabe region that Blackbuck lost her handmade costume.
Finally the group catch up with the Giant Cellien who stole the sweets. Seeing Numbat overeagerness to reclaim her candy back, Black-Backed Jackal knowing the high risk tells her not to lick the Cellien but rather the protagonist. She also notices that Serval's come to help only to be blown away like a star by the Cellien. Just before the fight start she notices Barn Owl comes with anger and makes the Cellien shiver; this chance is used by the group to defeat the Celliens.
After the battle over Black-Backed Jackal recognizes Thylacine and asks her what she's doing here on which Thylacine responses that among the sweets that being stolen there's a fair share of her in it.
Not long after this another eyewitness report from Geoff confirms that there are still some of the Celliens left. Before the fight with the Celliens Serval convinces Black-Backed Jackal to participate in costume contest. Black-Backed Jackal tells her it's not the time for that but finally she gives up to her demand so that Serval could shut up. After the protagonist group defeated the Celliens and reclaim most of the stolen sweet, Mirai wonder what trigger the Celliens to do that, especially when Common Vampire Bat bazooka has nothing to do with Halloween. Serval then reminds Black-Backed Jackal about her promise and got herself dressed up with Blackbuck handmade costume. In the end Black-Backed Jackal come out as the winner in costume contest.
Wolf Federation Group Quest
In this quest after Dhole being attacked by someone, both Black-Backed Jackal and Arctic Wolf are arrested because they can't provide any alibi. This is because both she and Arctic Wolf are always act independently so no other members could give their eyewitness account on their action.
The next attack on Aardwolf finally convince the others to release Black-Backed Jackal and Arctic Wolf from house arrest. Black-Backed Jackal swears that she will find the culprit by herself.
After Kinko's get attacked by Celliens, Gray Wolf decided to tell the truth that the previous 3 attacks on Dhole, Aardwolf, and Japanese Wolf are just acting, a thriller game to strengthen the bond between Wolf Federation member and stating that she doesn't expect thing would go like this. Hearing Gray Wolf confession most of the member get angry at Gray Wolf including Black-Backed Jackal who refuses to follow Gray Wolf order and stating that they're not only angry at Gray Wolf they don't believe in her also.
When Mirai found out that the reason of division among Wolf Federation is Cellien that stole everyone trust, Black-Backed Jackal has a change of heart and help Gray Wolf in defeating the real culprit, feeling ashamed not to have any trust in her leader.

Golden Jackal pities her because she's always alone and often takes care of her. Black-Backed Jackal doesn't know how to react to Golden Jackal's actions.
