African Penguin, nicknamed Cape (ケープ), is a Virtual YouTuber and part of the KemoV project. She has graduated on May 21, 2022.

African Penguin is lively, confident and portrays herself as a cute girl. She speaks loud and proud, and her voice has a quality of slight slurriness resembling being drunk. She often sings songs in random moments while streaming. She is good at singing and playing guitar.

She starts her streams by singing the phrase, "Ni-ra-me kkoshimasho keppuppu!" (にーらめっこしましょ けっぷっぷ!). Her fans often greet her with the phrase "Kon ke-pu", and at the end of streams "otsuke-pu" (おつけーぷ).

Regular Streams

Her regular streams happen every day at 22:00 JST and last for an hour. The content for the next week's livestreams are usually decided during Sunday's livestream. Her livestreams have a variety of themes including "no-doing" challenges, chatting with viewers and reviewing fanart.

Humboldt Penguin

The two pose as sisters and occasionally have collaboration livestreams with skits and challenges.

  • Her weakness is horror in general.
  • During livestreams, she is often jokingly called Scam Penguin (詐欺ペンギン) by her chat because she changes to a much cuter voice when greeting first-time viewers.
  • Island Fox often calls her Capeko (ケプ子).
  • African Penguin's voice actress in the mobile game, Kemono Friends 3 is listed as "・・・?". As African Penguin's first major appearance in Kemono Friends media is KemoV, the Virtual YouTuber counterpart's voice actress reprises her role in Kemono Friends 3, and her name not being listed in the game conforms to the practice of Virtual YouTubers' real-life personal identity being protected.
  • She loves Gothic×Luck, and mentions them on her Twitter sometimes.
