Water Deer Appearance Article

Hi Migrubbs, I see you have removed the Needs Editing maintenance tag I added to your appearance article for Water Deer. I added the tag because what you have written for Water Deer is not a sufficient description of the Friend and is awkwardly worded. You only state simple facts about her design in very simple and unelaborated sentences. You leave out details like her tail, her shoes, her gloves, her white ribbon, what her animal ears look like, the white collared shirt she's wearing underneath, and a few other things.

The point of appearance sections is to describe the Friend in depth. There are lots of details in Friends designs that go unnoticed by a casual observation that are then revealed to the reader when someone spends the time to write an in depth description of the Friend. That is what makes these sections useful, you can discover details that aren't apparent at glance or even at many glances or long looks at the Friend.

The current design of Dhole. Though her design is simple, there is still plenty to say about it.

Even though a Friend might have a simple design, the description of that design should not be written simply. Take for example the description of Dhole that the editor Sparkle wrote:

Dhole has short orange hair with a brownish tinge, with white side bangs, a darker middle bang, and a lighter shade for her large ears, which have white fur on the inside. Her eyes are a dark yellow and her animal tail is long and the same lighter shade as her ears, with a large section of the end being black.

Dhole’s sleeveless shirt is white, with light brownish-orange on the sides. Her short gloves have a small split on the end and light orange ribbons tied around the wrists. Her shoes are white and have similar bows. Around her neck is a white collar tied into a small bow, and she has a short dark orange skirt with light brownish-orange thigh high socks that have white on the insides of her legs at the top, which spreads to around the entire leg at the bottom.

This editor does not simply write that Dhole is wearing a button-up blouse with a skirt, knee-high socks and some gloves. They go into detail and describe not just that she wears a button-up blouse, but what colors are on it, where those colors are, and the sleeve length. The above example would be a good reference for when you write or edit appearance articles in the future.

So, because I believe your article is still in need of editing, I have added back the Needs Editing maintenance tag to your Water Deer appearance article. I encourage you to expand upon and edit the content of your article so that it is no longer in need of editing.
