The White Rhinoceros, also called the Square-lipped Rhino, is one of two African species of Rhinoceros. While rhinos in general are easily distinguished by their large horns on their snouts, their difference to the Black Rhinoceros is the shape of their mouth; the white rhinoceros has a broad flat mouth, while the black rhinoceros's nose is hooked. Their horns are 60 cm long on average and are made entirely of keratin—as opposed to the horns of cattle, which have a bony core, and deer antlers, which are entirely made out of bone.

The Dhole, also known as Asian Wild Dog, Whistling Dog or Mountain Wolf, is a canid native to eastern Asia from Siberia to Malaysia. They're around a meter long and 50 centimeters high at the shoulders. They weigh around 12-17 kilograms. Their fur is reddish brown with a light underside. They can live in dense forest as well as mountainous regions and steppe.

Kemono Friends' White Rhino was a major character in the Nexon game and also appeared in the anime as a part of Moose's army in S1E06: Plains. She wears a set of plate armor and wields a lance resembling the animals horns.

Dholes are highly social and live in clans consisting of 12-50 animals and multiple breeding females. They break off in to smaller packs to hunt and can kill prey up to 10 times their own weight. As a group, they can defend themselves and each other even against tigers. When new pups are born, the whole group feeds both the mother and her offspring until they're old enough to join the hunt at around half a year of age. They're more social and less hierarchical than grey wolves and there is little to no infighting for dominance. They're also not territorial; they don't mark their territories and pups can join other clans without issues and they defecate into latrines.
