The Spectacled Hare-Wallaby is a marsupial native to Northern Australia. They're related to kangaroos as they belong to the macropod family. They're around the size of a bunny and may look similar at first glance though with much smaller ears and a long tail. Their fur is grey and brown on the back and a white belly. They have short arms but very long, strong hindlegs much like kangaroos. A ring of red fur around their eyes looking like rims of glasses contributed to their name, the other being their speed and zigzag fleeing patterns similar to hares.

Spectacled Hare-Wallabies are nocturnal herbivores. During the day they rest in their burrow which they usually dig under the spinifex brushes. At nights they feed on the leaves and seeds of the nearby vegetation. They're solitary and may breed year-round. The single offspring reaches sexual maturity at one year old. Currently the species is listed as least concern on the IUCN red list, though numbers are declining as of recent.
