Serval is a Friend that has appeared in all Kemono Friends media to date and first appeared in 2015 Nexon Mobile Game. She is the mascot of the franchise.
Appearance
Serval's trademark features are two long, black-tipped ears at the crown of her head, an M-shaped marking found beneath aforementioned ears, and a small bow-tie with a spotted pattern on orange that fades into white; this pattern comprises the majority of her attire. The centerpiece of her attire consists of a white blouse, devoid of pattern, and skirt.

In Real Life
A serval is a cat native to the African grasslands typically found south of the Sahara Desert. The cat has a lean body and the longest legs and largest ears of any cat breed. Their coats are predominantly shades of tan or orange with black or dark brown markings. The coat pattern helps the cat disguise itself when hunting in tall grasses. The serval is a solitary animal that can live around 20 years.
The serval is a carnivore that preys on rodents, particularly rats, small birds, frogs, insects and reptiles. Servals locate their prey by their strong sense of hearing. To kill small, prey, they will slowly stalk then pounce on it. During a leap, a serval can reach more than 2 meters above the ground and cover a distance of 3.6 meters.
The serval prefers areas with cover such as reeds, tall grass and proximity to water-bodies. Servals used to be given as gifts and traded as early as the time of Ancient Egypt and are kept today as pets although many countries require regulated ownership.
