Raccoon is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion.

タヌキに似ていますが、尻尾に黒い輪っかの模様があるのが特徴です。また、タヌキはイヌ科に属していて指先で歩く指行性ですが、アライグマはクマのようにカカトをつけて歩くショ行性です。 「アライさんはアライグマの名の通り、手を洗ってるように見えて······本当は川の中を探っているのだー！でもこのことがバレると"テサグリグマ"に改名しなければいけないから、シーッなのだ！フェネックは愉快な仲間だが、時々しか助けてくれないのだ······」

Although this animal resembles a tanuki, they can be differentiated by the black pattern on their tails. Further, while tanukis are a part of the dog family and walk on their toes, raccoons walk on their heels like bears. "I'm Arai-san, and like my name implies, I might look like I'm washing my hands... but I'm really using them to explore the river-noda! But if everyone else finds out, they might have to change my name to 'Exploring Bear', so shhhh-nanoda! Fennec is my best friend, but she only ever helps me out once in a while-noda..."

How to Encounter

Raccoon will be encountered early and frequently by the player, more than likely across all areas of the game.

Savanna - The Wooden Chair the player starts with will spawn her, as will the Washtub, which is her first UB.

Mountain - Can appear on the craftable Wooden Table and Foxtail Toy.

Waterfront - The Trough is craftable and provides her second UB. The Garbage Can is an alternative that can also spawn Tsuchinoko.

Jungle - The Broom & Dustpan Set must be pulled.

Desert - The Mysterious Vase is craftable, but requires Steel.

Ocean - Moderate spawn chance, has a rateup on the craftable Jetski.

Unique Behavior

Raccoon has 2 known unique behaviors:

• タライで洗う (Wash in the Washtub) - Starts washing a piece of cloth in the Washtub, which is now full of water; after a while she will pull the cloth out, then begin washing again after noticing it is still dirty.
• すりすり (Rub-Rub) - Stands facing the Trough, rubbing her hands together slowly.
• うまく狙えるかな？ (Can You Aim?) - Super Unique Behavior, with Fennec Fox on the Whack-A-Mole.
