A Raccoon friend named Arai-san appeared as a major character during the original Kemono Friends mobile game.

Personality

Arai-san has boisterous, stubborn and clumsy personality showed throughout the game. While she possesses these quality she has a very good heart demonstrated when she tells Fennec Fox that it's okay to get hesitate in picking important choice as it shows that she cared about the consequence of her choices with this line Fennec loves Japari Park, but Fennec also loves "the protagonist" and everybody. So, continuously thinking about it is not a weird thing, but first thing first... ... only get worrying is futile Fennec. No matter how worse the situation has become, Arai-san will do anything whatever it takes, so follow Arai-san! She loves when her head get patted. She speaks in 3rd person, referring to herself as Arai-san and end her sentences with のだ(noda). She is a big lovable dummy.

Self-Introduction

Arai-san is a raccoon, as the name implied it looks like she's washing her own hand... ...but the truth is she's searching for something inside the river! Arai-san believe in things that felt by her hand. so, Arai-san want you also to believe in the hand that Arai-san believe in. Now let's go together and strike it rich!

Role in the Plot

She first appears along with Fennec in the 2nd chapter. Trailing down on rumor about weird animal looks like a cat family in which she dubs it Kemolean.

In the 3rd chapter she appears with Fennec in which Fennec scolds her for mistook Cerulean as pillow. she's finally caught up with the protagonist in the desert area in which she reveals her intention to catch Serval and makes her name known throughout Japari Park. She got defeated and blown away by Cerulean

In the 4th chapter she chases the protagonist again, this time by swimming with fennec ride on top of her

In the 5th chapter she again catches up with the protagonist group

In the 6th chapter Fennec talks about what Peregrine Falcon stoles from Cerulean and why Cerval is chasing Serval around Japari Park in which Arai-san admits that she doesn't understand anything about what they're saying

She doesn't appears in 7th chapter because she has muscle pain at that time.

In the chapter 8th She refers to the protagonist group as foolish because they don't know that she and Fennec are already under the Japari bus. In the end she gets helped by Short-Beaked Common Dolphin when drowning.

In the chapter 9 She comfort Fennec who hesitates about her choice by trying to choose between saving Cerval who will probably going to dies or saving Japari Park. She alongside with Fennec, Margay, Brown Bear, Cheetah, Koala, Rock Dove and the rest of freewheeling patrol team bats defeated evolved Cerulean.

In the 10th chapter she showed up in the end of the story saying that she's finally become a famous character and offer herself to take Cerval go around Japari Park

Relationships

Fennec Fox

Fennec is her best friends, accompanies her throughout the story and only one time get separated because she has muscle pain.

Carcal

Caracal thinks Arai-san and Fennec are just comedic reliefs

Serval

Serval thinks Arai-san is a character coming out from gag comic so she doesn't need to worries about her because she would survives all the encounter with enemies

Cerval

She wants to catch Cerval but ended up mistakes her for Serval, which she follows in the entire story. In the end she wants to help Cerval by defeating the Queen minions

Habu

Habu tries to bite Arai-san's tail as part of her hobby. This is the first time Fennec she Arai-san cry really hard after a long time

Short-Beaked Common Dolphin

She was saved by Malka the Short-Beaked Common Dolphin when she's drowned when trying to follow the protagonist group by hiding under the Japari Bus

Thomson's Gazelle

Lulu the Thomson's Gazelle doesn't understand what Arai-san even doing. She thinks that Arai-san drowning sound is unearthly and decides that it's the sound from hell

Margay

Arai-san wants to ask Margay to take films of her where she's going to save the world by destroying meteorite that going to destroys it

White Rhinoceros

White Rhinoceros acknowledges her power and called her Arai-san-sama
