The following is a list of frequently asked questions and answers regarding Kemono Friends Pavilion.

What is the game about?

Kemono Friends Pavilion is an "observation game", the most recent entry in the Kemono Friends franchise.

Do I have to watch the anime before playing the game?

There is no requirement to doing so, but it may help your appreciation of the game and its characters. The 2017 Kemono Friends anime is a fantastic show and I highly recommend it!

How do I download the game? Do I have to be in Japan for it to work?

You are able to play Pavilion with minimal difficulty even from overseas. Read our installation guide here: https://japari-library.com/wiki/Pavilion:Installation_Guide

What is Pikapika? How do I get more?

Pikapika, sometimes called Pikapika Crystals, is one of Pavilion's two in-game currencies. It has two uses, both of which benefit your pavilion in a major way.

50 Pikapika can be exchanged for a 15-minute supply of Deluxe Japari Buns, which are guaranteed to attract 5 Friends before being expended.

150 Pikapika can be used for a single pull from the Sandstar Printer, which produces 3★ and 4★ Playthings.

What are Pavilicoins, and how do I get them?

Pavilicoins are currently only used to unlock new areas-- the Waterfront and the Mountain. You earn coins by having friends visit your Playthings.

What are the different materials, how do you get them, and what are they used for?

The materials, being Cold Stone, Soft Cloth, Sturdy Wood, Stretchy Rubber, and Rough Steel, are acquired through Friends visiting your pavilion's Playthings. They are currently only used in crafting new Playthings for your pavilion.

How do you get Friends to come to Japari Park?

Set out Playthings and stock the Area's Lucky Beasts with Japari Buns and/or Deluxe Japari Buns. After some time has passed, Friends will begin to appear in the Area and interact with the Playthings.

No one has shown up yet! Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe! Are your Japari Buns out of stock? Click the button in the bottom-left corner of the screen and see if you need to put out more. The blue regular ones are free to refill. If you want to expedite the process, you are able to spend 50 Pikapika to put out Deluxe Japari Buns as well, which leads you to encounter Friends at a much faster rate.

What are the little creatures walking around with bowls?

These are Lucky Beasts, fully automated Park Guide robots that help keep Japari Park and Japari Park Pavilion running. The bowls contain Japari Buns, Friends' favorite food.

What are Japari Buns? How do I get more?

Japari Buns (Japanese: ジャパリまんじゅう Hepburn: Japari Manjū) are the favorite food of Friends. When playing Kemono Friends Pavilion, Friends will only appear in your game if you leave out Japari Buns for them to eat. There are also special Deluxe Japari Buns which attract a greater number of Friends in a short period of time.

Regular (blue) Japari Buns can be restocked endlessly for free in the sub-menu accessed by clicking the button in the lower-left corner of the main screen. Deluxe (pink) Japari Buns cost 50 Pikapika and last approximately 15 minutes before being depleted.

Do different Playthings of the same rarity have any differences?

Yes. Separate Playthings will have increased chances of specific Friends appearing. The Fukumasu, for example, has a higher chance of summoning Thomson's Gazelle, Black-Backed Jackal, and Silver Fox.

If the app is closed, will Friends still cycle through and give me rewards?

As long as there are active Japari Buns, Friends will continue to visit your pavilion and yield rewards regardless of if the app is opened or not.

Does the level of a Friend do anything? Does the level of myself do anything?

For Friends, archive talks will be unlocked at certain levels. However, so far other than unlocking archive talks the level of Friends and your character do not impact game play in any way.
