Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth is a Friend who has made appearances in the original mobile game and the manga.

Appearance

Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth's hair is brown and somewhat messy, and has olive green eyes. She wears a calmed expression on her face, representing her permanent relaxed and lazy mood. Under her neck is a scarf of brown fur with a red bow attached.

She wears a white shirt tucked into a green and white patterened skirt. She wears a blown fleece over the top of this, which is slightly too long and obscures her hands. She wears brown leg warmers above two white shoes.

A slow sloth.

Sloths are renowned for being very slow. Out of every specie of sloth, however, Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth is defined as the slowest. This makes Linnaeus's Two-Toed Sloth the slowest mammal on earth. Their top speed is 0.27 km/h, or 0.16 mph. In comparison, the average human walking speed is 3.1 mph. They can live between 20-40 years, and they can weigh between 4 and 8.5kg.

Their fur is a brown color, but can be often seen mixed with a green shade. This is not due to their fur changing color, but is instead due to algae growing within it. This unique trait us due both to the slow nature of the sloth, as well as their fur being the perfect habitat for the fungi. In return, the green tint of the fungi gives the sloth camouflage amongst shrubbery.

This is very useful, as sloths spend most of their time in trees. Their diet consists of leaves, branches, berries, and buds, as well as any insects and rodents they manage to catch. Their metabolism is 50% slower than other mammals of their size, so they have to consume more mature leaves in order to ensure they do not starve to death.

These sloths manage to perform a lot of their daily activities while upside-down, including mating and giving birth. Females reach sexual maturity at 3 years old, while males take 4-5 years. Once born, the baby will cling to the mother for up to five weeks as they develop the strength to hold themselves up on the branches. The main hunters of sloths are humans, ocelots, and birds of prey.
