Kemono Friends 3 is an upcoming mobile game developed and published by SEGA. Releasing in 2019, the game is meant to be a sequel to Kemono Friends 2 as the next numbered title in the Kemono Friends franchise. SEGA has stated that their intention is to do the numbered title justice, and does not plan to develop Kemono Friends 3 as a side game or as an adaptation of other media - rather, Kemono Friends 3 will be a game developed with the intention of being a true sequel. Kemono Friends 3 was first announced by SEGA during their Tokyo Game Show 2018 stage event, and formally unveiled on January 12th, 2019, alongside its sibling game, Kemono Friends 3: Planet Tours. The game will be free to play with microtransactions and gacha elements.

Players influence combat by assigning one of three Flags to each Friend:
- Beat - Performs a skill unique to each Friend.
- Action - Attacks, and increases the Kemono Miracle meter, which can be used to activate powerful moves.
- Try - Attacks, and boosts the stats of the party on the next turn.
If more than one Friend has the same Flag, a Kemo Chorus will be activated, providing a bonus to each Friend. Additionally, Kemo Choruses can be used to fill the Seconds meter, which increases the maximum amount of actions that can be taken per turn.
