Crested Ibis is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion.

Personality

Crested Ibis has a strong mentality like her Nexon Game counterpart, as she is almost always seen smiling and enjoying herself. Similar to all her previous appearances, she enjoys singing but is terrible at it, something which often weighs heavily on her.

カラスに似た濁った鳴き声で、群れて鳴くと非常にうるさかったようです。2003年に最後の一羽「キン」が死亡して、日本産のトキはいなくなりました。現在は新潟県の佐渡で、中国から譲り受けたトキの人工繁殖が行われています。 「トキよ。わたしは歌が好き。音痴だと言われるけど、歌うことが好きなの。声が独特だっていわれるけど、綺麗な歌声を諦めたわけじゃないわ。さぁ、練習しなきゃ。…って、みんななんで一目散にいなくなっちゃうのー！わたしの歌を聴いてー！」

With a hoarse cry similar to a crow, it is said that flocks of this bird were unusually loud. After the death of the last specimen, "Kin", in 2003, the Japanese native population of crested ibises disappeared. Currently, an artificial breeding project is being undertaken on the island of Sado in Niigata Prefecture, using crested ibises imported from China. "I'm Crested Ibis. I love songs. I've been told I'm tone-deaf, but I really like to sing. They tell me my voice is peculiar, too, but it's not like I've given up on having a beautiful singing voice. Now, I've got to practice. ...Hey, why are you all leaving so fast? Listen to my song!"

How to Encounter

While somewhat easy to find on her own, getting frequent and consistent spawns for Ibis can be difficult without rateups. She does not have the same ubiquity as common friends like Serval, with only a moderately high Mountain base spawn rate being confirmed.

That being said, there is a wide selection of playthings with which to accomplish this, making her not nearly as onerous to level as rarer friends. The Tea Set, Wooden Table, Anchor and Horse Seesaw are all craftable Playthings with rateups if the player is willing to spare the material (the latter is not recommended due to requiring valuable Rough Steel). There are also plenty of gacha items to use should the player get lucky, with the additional benefit of levelling their respective post-release Friends (e.g. Grey Wolf for the Writing Table and Scarlet Ibis for the Pop Stage).
