Brown Bear is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion. This appearance is based on her Generation 2 (Nexon) incarnation, and was added along with 2 other Friends in Version 1.16.1.

ヒグマはもともと”シクマ”という名前でした。一説には「四・熊」と分解して読んだからと言われています。体は大きいですが、時速60kmを超える快速の持ち主です。 「ヒグマだよー。いわゆる一つのサイキョーってヤツかなぁ。こう見えて足もそれなりに速いしね、逃がさないよー。サイキョーであり続けるため、いつでもどこでも誰の挑戦も受けるよー、キミもどう？」

The brown bear was originally called the "shikuma" in Japanese. One theory is that it came from a literal reading of the separate kanji for "four" and "bears". While it has a large frame, it also possesses a maximum speed of over 60 kilometers per hour. "I'm Brown Bear. They call me one of the strongest, I suppose. Even though I look like this, I have pretty decent speed. I won't let anything get away. So I can keep on being the strongest, I'll take challenges from anyone, any time, anywhere. How 'bout you?"

How to Encounter

While not as rare as Suri Alpaca or Red Panda, Brown Bear still lacks a craftable rateup. You could potentially encounter her naturally in the Mountain like Moose, albeit not as often and certainly not at a frequency that allows for efficient levelling.
