Otter is a Friend that first appeared in the 2015 Nexon Mobile Game, and appeared in the anime.

Appearance

Otter has short light gray hair that turns white on each of the bangs, her ears are small and slightly pointed, and she has dark grey eyes. She wears a typical one piece swim suit that has a frilled waist, it is white on the chest and belly but gray all around, She wears long finger-less gloves that come up past her elbow. She has a tail like many other Friends do that resembles that of an otters' tail. Finally, she wears long thigh-high socks that do not have a front piece.

In Real Life

An Oriental Small-Clawed Otter after taking a swim.

Oriental Small-Clawed Otters live in groups of up to 15 to 20 individuals. They are very vocal and have a vocabulary of at least 12 different vocalizations. They use these for summons, greetings, threats and alarms. These communications can be visual, chemical or tactile. Otters use scent markings as well, they emit a musky smell and can mark their territory using this.

Despite being social and living in large groups otters will hunt for themselves rather than as a group. In the wild, most otters eat mollusks and crustaceans but can also eat fish, insects, frogs and reptiles. Otters will use their fore-paws to search for food as they have incomplete webbing between the toes and sensitive pads that lets them feel for food underwater.
